Title: GA-P55M-UD2 reporting 8GB as 4GB
Post by: JollyGiant on December 15, 2009, 08:13:30 pm
I have just built a pc with this board, had afew compatibilty problems with generic ram so bought 4 x 2GB corsair dominator. Initially ran with 2 sticks to have 4GB. I have installed the other 2 x 2GB sticks to give me 8GB, the bios sees it but is only allowing 4GB as usable. Windows 7 64 bit picks it up as 8GB but also says only 4GB usable. Does anyone have a solution for this.

Also recently upgraded bios to f5 from f4 because of compatibilty issues but now don't have the XMP memory profile.

Thanks.
