Title: GA-P35-DS3P, windows upgrade
Post by: almir3n4 on October 28, 2012, 01:11:39 am
So I haven't upgraded my computer in years.  I bought a laptop a few years ago and I wasn't using my PC very much.  Over time I have come back to using my PC more and more.  With the windows 8 upgrade for only $40 I thought, how can I pass that by, since I'm still using XP and it's running very slowly.  I have been thinking about getting 7 for a while but this was a great deal.  I went through the process and the only thing I can find that I can't figure out how to fix is the gigabyte gbb36x controller.  Everything I find talks about upgrading to windows 7 and having the same problem.  But I cannot get drivers to run, and I'm not sure where I should get them from.  I have tried contacting gigabyte to no avail.  Some please tell me what to do, or if I can even run windows 8 on my computer.  If given instructions I'm pretty good at figuring things out, but I really don't know a ton about computers.  So if someone could start me with the basics that would be amazing!

What says you need to fix Gigabyte gbb36x controller?

You can download the win 8 unpgrade assistant:
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/buy?ocid=GA8_O_WOL_Hero_Home_FPP_Null

Just click the download win8 for #39.99 button and it will ask you to run the assistant.
