Hi,
I wonder if anyboy can help me, ahould a GA-Z68XP-UD3-iSSD and an i7 3770K work with this Hynix HMT31GR7CFR4C-PB memory - https://www.skhynix.com/products/computing/view.jsp?info.ramKind=20&info.serialNo=HMT31GR7CFR4C
I have tried it, and the PC just keeps restarting itself and never gets to the BIOS screen. It is a new motherboard, and I'm not sure if this combination is supposed to work, or the mothjerboard is faulty.
Thanks,
Chris

I think I've just answered my own question, that RAM is Registered (buffered) RAM, which, from what I can find, that motherboard doesn't support. Does that make sense?
Cheers,
Chris

Hi Chris,
yes that would make sense as the motherboard supports non-ECC memory modules. I would RMA the RAM and get something such as Corsair Vengeance or similar.
