Title: Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD7 doubts
Post by: Junquera on December 15, 2009, 10:09:47 pm
Hi, I'm interested in buying one of this mobos, but I have some questions I hope you can answer. First of all, that hybrid silent-pipe 2 that comes with the motherboard, is optional? I'm not going for liquid refrigeration, at least not yet. If I don't use it, will the mobo be too hot? I already have a x-fi and I would like to mount it just over the first graph card, but the extra pipe will block the slot.

And the other question, will a megahalems (with a 25cms fan near the RAM) fit without blocking any RAM slots? Could you tell me what's the exact separation between the socket and the first slot??

Thanks in advance.

Hi

Hybrid Silent Pipe is optional but we never know in 100% whether it will be too hot because of other components and cooling system in the chassis.

I would say if you are not going to overclock the MB and will have good airflow inside the chassis then you don't have to use it.
