I have a GA-890FXA-UD5, rev 2.1 motherboard but this does not seem able to boot Server 2012 with Hyper-V.
Windows Server 2012 runs fine but after installing the Hyper-V role the machine fails to boot with error:
Your PC needs to restart
Please hold down the power button
Error code: 0x0000005
...
Any ideas?

Have now done a clean install of Server 2012 Standard again. All appeared to work fine, Windows rebooted and went through it's Configuring "Windows Features process", when complete it rebooted. Now fails to boot every-time with the error:
Error code: 0x0000005C
Parameters:
0x000... 110
0xFFF...D104C8
0x000...19
0xFFF...C0000001
Now just for testing I have turned off BIOS support for Virtualisation and now the server boots-up.
Are there any known problems with using 2012 Hyper-V on this board?
Is there any chance of a BIOS update to fix this?

Now had a reply from Microsoft regarding this and they raise two questions.
Does this board support:
1. Hardware-enforced Data Execution Prevention (DEP)
2. AMD NX bit (no execute bit)
Both are apparently needed for Hyper-V 2012, can anyone tell me if the GA-890FXA-UD5 supports these?
Thanks
