Title: unresolvable problem
Post by: fannta1 on November 13, 2012, 06:56:54 pm
MB: GIGABYTE H77-DS3H
CPU: Intel i5 3570k with HD 4000

So, I built this system and wanted to install windows 7 on my new SSD intel 520. After loading windows installer from DVD, window pop up and I clicked "install". Then it just restarts.
Did the same thing with HDD and windows was installed without problem.
I've tried another way, I connected both drives and choosed SSD as a destination for windows, worked. But if I unpluged HDD, I couldn't boot windows.
And after all that, I put my old video card in slot and run installer with only SSD and it WORKS! I could install windows 7.
It is so weird and I dont know if the problem causes CPU and its integrated graphic controller or somethiing very strange is going on with the MB.

BIOS version was up to date (B7).

Hi and welcome.

From what you have said it would seem to be that your problemscome from not having the correct drive set for booting. Don't forget to change the order that your drives boot from.
