Any one know if the ga-ma790fx-ds5 will work with an fx8120 ? specs says

Support for Socket AM3 / AM2+ / AM2 processors:
AMD Phenom™FX processor/ AMD Phenom™ processor/ AMD Athlon™ 64 FX processor/AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 Dual-Core processor/AMD Athlon™ 64 processor/AMD Sempron™ processor

Any ideas of when the support cpu list was last updated ?

Hi there,

the quick answer is no, this board doesn't support the FX8120 check here for supported processors: http://uk.gigabyte.com/support-downloads/cpu-support-popup.aspx?pid=2694

You should also be aware that AMD have reused the FX name with their latest processors so this is why you may be a little confused.
