Title: gigabyte GA-M68MT-S2 REV 3.1 amd piledriver support?
Post by: Allycuk on November 18, 2012, 05:11:48 pm
Hi,I currently have a gigabyte GA-M68MT-S2 REV 3.1 MOBO with an AMD FX-4100 processor and was wondering if my MOBO will eventually take the new AMD piledriver processors as the current bios still only supports bulldozer?
or will I have to buy a new MOBO to get the piledriver support?
thanks.

Welcome to the gigabyte forum. It is highly likely that your board will support them with a bios update. Your sockett is the right one to be sure i would wait till they come out and then give it a couple weeks more for the bios update to come out.

thank you Autotech,
I will just keep checking for a bios update every so often and hopefully it will eventually support the piledriver cpu's.
cheers!
