Hi all,
Im in need of your help, ive just put together comp with the following parts
Q6600
Gigabyte GA-EP45-DQ6
G.Skill 2 x 2GB PC2-6400 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...ILL-_-20231122
8800GTX
Zalman CNPS9500 CPU Cooler
Tagan 600w PSU
Problem is it wont boot up! When i press the power button it starts for around 3 secs then turns off. Then it seems to cycle through this process endlessly...? No screen is displayed during the time the computer is on.
Ive tried re-seating the CPU, differrent combinations of memory sticks (1 in, both in, swapped etc) a different GPU (X1900XTX) and a different PSU (Tagan 420w) with the same result.
The onboard LED's to indicate CPU loading (4 green, 4 orange, 4 red in a long line) all light up indicating full load i think. Also the CPU fan is not spinning? Ive tried the cpu fan on other fan headers on the board and the fan works fine, just not when its plugged into the CPU fan header.
Could there be a problem with the CPU? Is it the board? All parts are new except the GPU's and Zalman.
Is there something im missing?
Please help! ::)

Hi Buztafen
please try to clear CMOS.
if it does not help then to check it deeper please remove all memory and VGA, HDD from the MB (just leave MB + CPU with cooler + PSU) then check if there will be any beep coming out from connected PC speaker after pressing power button.
if no beeps then it means that no POST error sequence is started so MB or CPU maybe just faulty.
