Title: Question about GA-MA69VM-S2 memory support
Post by: fashion_m on November 22, 2012, 03:02:54 pm
Does the GA-MA69VM-S2 (http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=2500#fq) support this memory module: http://www.stealtech.org/ram/KINGSTON_2GB_800MHz_id30330/ (CL6)
Can it be combined with existing 2x512MB KINGSTON DDR2-800 CL5 or it's better to put it alone on the mobo? Thanks.

On something like that all you can do is start it with the ram you want to use which is the 2 gig stick and verify it runs good then turn it off and add the other and try it. I have mixed and matched before the only downside is that the ram wont run as fast as it is dual channel and to get optimum performance you need to memory modules same size and make and model in 2 slots.
