Well I'm back haven't been here for a couple of years but I'm running into an issue with setting up raid.
I have the GA-890FXA-ud7 mobo and I'm currently trying to set up two SSD drives in Raid 0 striped.
I have spent all day messing with this all day. So I did the ctrl f and setup up my raid array. I set my settings in Bios to onchip sata to raid and onchip sata port4/5 type to SATA type and onchip sata raid 5 to enable and every other variation I can think of. I'm using a Samsung 120 gig ssd and a corsair 128 gig ssd drive. I did a test run on another computer in my computer room and it worked. but I cant get this to work on this board. I start to load windows and try to load the raid drivers from my usb stick and it acts lke its going to load and then just stops and no drive found pops up. Very frustrating. Any one have any tips for me on this. Thanks much....

Hi and welcome back.
I can only suggest that you try all the various options like updating the firmware on the drives, loading the latest BIOS on the motherboard along with updating the motherboard chipset drivers along with the RAID drivers etc.
Some of the things that you mention like RAID5 wouldn't work anyway as you only have two drives.
Try contacting Gigabyte's technical support team also.

Thanks Dark Mantis for the tips. I realized after fooling around with this after posting that rade 5 has to have at least 3 drives. I gave up and just installed one 128 gig drive for system and I will just have to watch it with my installs. I made a fake windows system 32 folder on my 1 T drive and ill just install everything else there. I just got a kller deal on a system I built for a guy two years ago. Its a intel system with the i7 cpu and all the bells and wistels for $200 so i just put the other SSD in that system just for kicks. I may use that one for my main system. Ill have to see how it feels compaired to this one and decide. Thanks again...
