Title: issd and smart response
Post by: Klunt Bumskrint on November 29, 2012, 12:07:25 pm
Hi guys I just signed up cuz i need help from people who know about smart response tech.

I've been using an OCZ 30GB msata issd to accelerate one of my 1TB HDD's for over a year now and all has been great.

I had to do a format and reinstall windows for other reasons but now when I try and install srt it restarts in raid then i get a quick bsod, then identical boot loops. I have to switch back to ahci in bios then do a system restore to get back into windows.

My 30GB drive says it is unallocated space, does it need to be in a certain format before i run ez setup.

Can somebody help?

I'll be here waiting, refreshing the screen...... :P

Never mind the guy, i want that board he used.  it seems to be the only one in the world that actually runs RST.

From what i've read about the technology, the SSD doesn't have to be any particular filesystem.  The controller accesses the drive at LBA level as appose to file level
