Hi, Siddus here..
I have a few questions regarding my GA-990XA-UD3 mb.
First question is if there is a way to completely remove/shutdown the spdif connection ??
Whenever I try to watch a bluray movie with totalmedia theatre 5 I get no sound and all the sound-settings available for me in totalmedia is spdif ...
Second question if there is any way to ensure that my disks (sata3-drives) is really utilizing sata3 and not just running sata2 ??
I seem to get such bad values on my drive in windows 7 performance classification (sorry, swedish os)..
I'm grateful for all and any help I can get with my questions
brgds

Havent a clue about the spdif unless you go into control panel and change default or in total media. As for the sata 3 what values are you talking about? The windows 7 scores if it is a mechanical drive the most it will ever get is 5.9 to break that barrier you have to have a SSD drive it can be sata 2 or 3 and the 5.9 will go up. That is if it is the value you are talking about.

Can sort the audio:
Right click the speaker symbol in the system tray, select 'Playback devices'. You'll find them all in there. Right click the ones you don't want to use and select 'Disable'. If needs be you can use the same shortcut to select your default device and your default communication device. totalmedia theatre should use the default device automatically. Hope this helps ;)
