Post by: enygma on December 05, 2012, 04:57:54 am
as title states (older MB + new video card incompatible?)

no error mssgs,  just states generic display adapter working ?  PEG 1st goto in bios...

any HW reason for this?  PCI E 3.o video card maybe?

intel quad core 1.6
8gb ram ddr2
not much else...

need processing power for photo batch processing, dont want to upgrade MB/cpu/memory...

thanks

Last bios released    2010/06/21

Card released just in the last month. I have run into this on an older mb. The video card is to new to be reconized by bios. If it had a recent bios update it might see it best bet is to email gigabyte tech assit and see if they might have a bios update or planning on one so the card will work.
