Title: [Drivers for windows 8] should I download them from Motherboard page?

The  Intel P61/H61 Utility DVD  containing chipsets/Serial-ATA/Network/Audio Drivers and bios doesnt run with  windows 8. So should I download them from mother board page? Should I download the lates bios too if so ?

Hi there,

yes, the best thing to do is download the drivers from the Gigabyte site for Windows 8.

I would also recommend updating to the latest BIOS using QFlash as it will add BIOS support for Windows 8

Manufacturers websites are the best place to get drivers, motherboard sites aren't always up to date.  The only thing you should download from the motherboard site is the audio drivers as these are specific to the board
