Title: Does my mainboard support UEFI?
Post by: f.blink on December 26, 2012, 03:18:55 am
I have a EP43-DS3L Gigabyte mainboard, with an Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 CPU. I just purchased a 3TB HDD, its currently my main drive as removed the 500GB one. I wish to convert my 3TB HDD to GPT so that I can use the full 3TB and not just 2048GB, but in order to have a GPT HDD as my main drive I believe I need to be using UEFI and not BIOS? Is this correct, and does anybody know if my mainboard can support UEFI?

No.
Only P67 and above ,due to BIOS chip size limitation.
