Title: Boot loop upon cold boot
Post by: genghisquan on January 08, 2013, 02:02:03 am
I'm using a GA-Z68XP-UD3P (rev 1.3; UEFI ver: U1e) with a 2600K, and when I perform a cold boot after the computer has been turned off for several hours, it won't even POST. It goes into the boot loop for 5-8 boots before bringing me to a screen that says it won't POST. Sometimes it will boot successfully after the 5-8 loops, though. I've tried removing the batter and clearing the CMOS, but nothing has changed. Anyone know a trick?

Hi there,

I faced similar problems with the GA-Z68X-UD3P-B3 motherboard and an I5-2500k CPU and despite my best efforts I was never able to resolve it whilst running the UEFI BIOS. So I flashed back to the original Award BIOS.
