Title: Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H, how to flash Primary BIOS from second?
Post by: SashaX on January 21, 2013, 08:45:33 am
Hi ^^
I have a problem:

My Primary BIOS was corrupted from a power loss.
Right now im using the secondary BIOS.

But I would like to recover the first BIOS.

How can I do that?

Thanks in advance :D

Hi there,

the easiest and safest way is to use QFlash to reflash with the latest BIOS version.

But from Qflash I only know how to flash the BIOS that is working (the secondary in wich im running).
How can I swap the target BIOS?

QFlash should update the Main BIOS not the Backup BIOS. You may have to power down the PC and use the switch on the Motherboard to use the Main BIOS chip at Startup, if you switched it to the Backup Chip when you first encountered problems.

If you wish to copy the Main BIOS to the Backup Chip you need to press the "F10" & "Alt" keys together when you power up the PC as you would press the "Del" key to enter BIOS.
