Title: Can't come out of hibernation
Post by: IM_Cold on January 21, 2013, 06:39:54 pm
I am Windows 7 and have upgraded to 970A-D3.  After the computer has been in Sleep mode all night, I can not wake it up.  I have to turn off the switch to the case, then turn it back on.  Then it reboots with an error msg that the system was unable to save my settings from Hibernation.  I have Windows set to never to Hibernate.  Suggestions?

Aha, I think we may have solved it.
You'll have to reinstall, it's the only way I know to get rid of all remnants of the old drivers.

I was hoping that some smart, nerdy guy could help me dodge that bullet.  YOU ARE OBVIOUSLY NOT THAT GUY!!

Calming down, now.  Thanks for what I already expected.  Now onto the joy of reformatting.

Go into BIOS and change Sleep mode from S3 to S1.

To disable Hibernation in Windows  -> http://support.microsoft.com/kb/920730
This also means more free space on the C partition.
