Title: [solved] UD5H Error Message 53 (And I've checked the RAM)
Post by: Iced_Bullet on January 23, 2013, 09:19:53 am
Hi,

I have just built this:

i7 3770K 3.5Ghz
Gigabye z77x UD5H
Corsair XMS3 DDR3 2x8gb (http://www.corsair.com/en/memory-by-product-family/xms-classic/xms3-16gb-dual-channel-ddr3-memory-kit-cmx16gx3m2a1600c11.html)
Corsair TX650M PSU
Arctic Cooling Freezer Pro 13

And I'm getting error 53 when I boot up my machine. Then after 8 or so seconds, the machine powers down and the cycle restarts. I've found a lot on the net about it being RAM problems (along with the troubleshooting booklet), but I've tried every combination of RAM. Single stick, dual stick in both slots 1 & 2. To no avail!

I take it the RAM is actually compatible?

Cheers for any help (I desperately need it!),
Toby

SOLVED:
I was being a wimp and not pushing the sticks in until they clicked themselves in. Before I had been putting them in until I felt resistance, then manualling clipping them into place. I had to push them further into the board to get them to seat properly. Whoops!
