Title: Why no USB 3.0 on S1082 tablet?
Post by: jefmac2003 on January 23, 2013, 12:30:43 pm
I'm trying to decide between the Gigabyte S1081 and the S1082 tablets.

I'll be using Windows 8 even if it's the S1081 that I end up going with. I plan on getting the 256SSD hard drive (if I can get one installed here in Australia) but I really want the USB 3.0 port.

Is there anything else about the S1082 model that makes it worthwhile losing the USB 3.0 port for?

Seems like a funny thing to delete something like that on a later model.

Hi jefmac2003; I only just saw this message.

The NM70 chipset Intel made which Gigabyte elected to use in the S1082, does not support USB 3.
