Title: Using GA-F2A85XM-D3H with PicoPSU

Hi everyone,

I'm after a bit of advice. I'm looking to build a low power, low noise, and was interested in using the above board as it will allow me lots of options for undervolting, and it is also cheap and pretty efficient. However, I am looking to use a 150w PicoPSU with this build. I know it will provide enough power, but it does not have an EPS (8pin 12v for CPU) connector, only the standard 4pin ATX connector.

Can I use this board with the standard 4 pin connector? Or will I need an adapter to use 4pin atx + 4pin molex > 8pin EPS?

The spec will be:

Fractal Design Node 605
Gigabyte GA-F2A85XM-D3H
AMD A10 5700 (or 6700 depending on release date)
Samsung 840 Pro 128gb SSD
16gb (2x8) Crucial 1.35v DDR3
PicoPSU-150XT

It should work ,but avoid overclocking.The pins should supply enough amps.

Maybe 200W would be better having in mind the APU used.

Thanks Vezina,

The PicoPSU I have is capable of 200w peak if used with a different power brick. If it doesn't work at 150w I'll upgrade to the 192w brick.

If anything, its more likely to be underclocked and undervolted...

Can anyone confirm that the pins on this board are wired up correctly for this to work? It doesn't NEED all 8 pins to function correctly?
