Post by: Graceman on February 07, 2013, 03:23:19 pm
I have now discovered that WIn 8 and theh G1 Sniper M3 board has to have the Beta F10C Bios to becompatible to run Windows 8 Opsys in 64 bit.
For the first time there are setting for Win 8 OS & Win 8 WHQL ?

My understanding is that the G1 Sniper will run Windows 8 as it does Windows 7.

The latest BIOS update offers new items to enhance the features of Windows 8 but it is not essential to install it for you to run Windows 8.

It was essential to install F10c latest Beta bios to get the lan to work correctly and the setting for the OS set to WIN8, which does surprise me as does the lack of any real drives & programs for Window 8.
The OCZ Revo  card and many of the drivers use win 7 drivers and this board needed the Beta bios so the Lan worked.
Its not like its the beta version of Win 8 it has been out for some time.

I now have solved all my issues with this board and its running Window 8 with no HDD I only have a OCZ Revo drive 240GB running and boy its like very Fast without  any overclock and runs at about 35C on water cooling now that I have rebuilt the alphacool system.

It took a while and it was frustrating due to lack of any information.
