Title: GA-945GCM-S2C with a QX9650
Post by: dopalgangr on February 08, 2013, 04:08:05 pm
Hi, trying to breath some new life into a GA-945GCM-S2C mobo.  The specs say that it will support the QX9650 but when I install it the splash screen comes up and it freezes after identifying the processor.  I cannot get into the bios either.  Could someone please advise what the settings in the bios need to be in order for this processor to work?  I updated to F6d but still the same issue.  When I put my old Core2 duo in it works fine.  I read through the manuals and the example (screenshots) they give are for another mobo model and not the GA-945GCM-S2C.  The bios on mine doesn't even show the same menus and options as the example (like OC for 1333).   ???  Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi there,

Sorry but from the list of supported CPU's the QX9650 isn't supported. Check here: http://www.gigabyte.com/support-downloads/cpu-support-popup.aspx?pid=2668 N/A in the last column indicates Not Supported and this is why you are having no luck.  :'(

Ahh, I misread that chart.  Do you think that the GA-G41MT-S2PT will support it?  I dont see the QX9650 listed but is does list the Q9650.  Thanks again
