Title: fastest cpu for my motherboard

I have a gigabyte 880GA-UD3H motherboard. I am thinking about upgrading from a phenom ii x4 925. I want to know the fastest cpu this motherboard supports right now. I want to see a difference in games.

You didnt mention what revision # your board is.

It would appear the the Phenom II X6 1100T is the top cpu.

It depends on the games if the CPU would have an impact.

If you are playing FPS games then the video card would have the biggest impact.

If you are playing  strategies that need big AI calculations then maybe a new CPU would help.

Indeed a X6 could be a nice investment
