I'm trying to get the sound working in Debian Linux for my GA-F2A85XM-D3H board. Has anyone got this working? How did you do it? i get no sound.

Try a different Linux Distro.They all have Live CD-s for testing prior to install.
You have Kubuntu ,Ubuntu ,Linux Mint or Simply Mepis to test out.
It s hard to install drivers the right way in Linux :)

I actually got it working. I needed to pass the "model=auto" parameter to the snd-hda-intel driver.

Installing drivers in linux for me is a nightmare.I struggle a lot to get video proprietary drivers to work and most of the time i end up with command line log in :)
If the sound and video work i avoid messing with them :)
Glad you got it working.Is it a VIA sound chip ?!
