Hello.
I've bought this board:
http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4441#dl
and this graphics card:
http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4344#ov
Now the board manual states PCI-E supports Gen 3, the GPU manual states PCI-E 3.0 support too, but GPU-Z shows that the GPU runs only @ PCI-E 2.0. What's the problem?
Other relevant specs: Intel Core i7-2700k, 8GB Corsair XMS3 DDR3 RAM 1600MHz.
Thanks for any info.

Any manufactures Z77 chipset motherboard also need a CPU that supports PCIE 3.0 to work in PCIE 3.0 mode.
Your SandyBridge i7 2700K CPU only supports PCIE 2.0
IvyBridge CPU supports PCIE 3.0
