Title: Need help with hd 7950 power issue
Post by: hu5ton on February 22, 2013, 03:40:07 pm
Hey I recently bought a hd 7950 and all the reviews and videos I've seen show it having two 6 pin connectors, this one though has one 6 pin and one 8 pin as many of you probably know. My issue is I only have 2 spare 6 pin connectors and I'm not going to buy a new pcu just to get this card to work since it has sufficient power requirements (900w). Does anyone know of a way to get this card to work? I've also seen people just use two 6 pins and plug one in the 8 pin connector, is this a possible solution? Thank you!

doesn't it have a 6 to 8 pin adaptor? or more likely the other way round? a 900 watt psu would have several of these unless it was a cheap unit.
