Title: An error was detected on device \Device\Harddisk2\DR2 during a paging operation.

I'm trying to move files over from an External HDD (OXFORD chipset) on the onboard Firewire, to a HDD on the PCH SATA II controller. It keeps hanging even after I reboot. I looked in Event Viewer and found this many times:

I have no idea what is causing this other than drivers, but I can't find a newer TI driver and I installed the newest Intel drivers.

Well, not that anybody asked, but I plugged the External into the USB and hit over 120MB/s transfers down to ~55MB/s constant on USB. However, Firewire has been working well for my audio box.

You are are not alone. At least this I can tell you. Get the same error with my box and eSATA. Checked on XP SP3 32, Win7 32 + 64. Gave up to find a fix. USB and Firewire works.
