Hello,
I recently installed 2X2 Gb RAM on my GA P31-DS3L. The specs of my RAM are: Komputerbay 4GB 2x 2GB DDR2 PC2 8500 1066Mhz 4 GB KIT ( 5-7-7-25 at 1.8V). My CPU is Core 2 Quad 6600.
Although my RAM is 1066MHz, it is automatically adjusted to 800MHz. Does anyone have a solution to this?
Thanks.

Support for DDR2 1066(O.C.)/800/667 MHz memory modules It will auto set it at 800. That is why I highlighted the 1066 the only way you are going to get to 1066 is overclocking it.

And how can I overclock it? Do I have to be an expert or is it simple?

I don't do OC and you really not going to see a big performance change. If you want to try it you will have to go over to OC forum.

OK thanks!
