I have installed a new Sata Blu Ray Optical ROM drive.
I have to keep unplugging and plugging it in again for it to be recognised.
When it is connected it works fine but after turning off the computer it does not show again and I have to reconnect the sata lead.
I have tried this with three other sata leads (all of which definitely work) and the same problem occurs.
Any ideas as to why this is happening.
Oh and by the way the other two optical drives I have no problems with! ???

yes all drivers are up to date and yes it does the same with the other optical drives disconnected. I have also tried all of the available sata connecters. I have asked for a RMA to return it but I really think it is aproblem with the motherboard butwhat I do not know??? ???

Have you tried updating the firmware on your SATA Blu-Ray drive?

Using latest BIOS? Running SATA in AHCI mode?
