Hello, I will buy a GA 970 UD3 AM3+ and a FX 6300 AMD proc. but I've read that I will need to update the BIOS if I want to use the FX.
My questions are:
*Nowadays ALL the boards are updated and ready to use with the FX?
*I DON'T have any AMD proc. If needto update the BIOS what can I do? Will I be able to put the FX in the board, run the PC, enter BIOS and then update throught Q-flash or should I use another AMD supported by the board?
Thank you!
sorry 4 my english :P

For the 970 UD3 it depends on what firmware version you have.
Firmware Version 1.0 1.1 and 1.2 need to have to have Bios F7 for the FX 6300.
Firmware version 3.0 needs Bios FA for the FX 6300.
You can find out what firmware your motherboard has by looking at the information sticker on the box your
board came in OR by looking on the corner of the board behind the PCI slot.

But I will buy it online and my question is if I can update the BIOS using the Fx or I need another AMD proc.
Nowadays which version is most commmon to find in a shop?

If the BIOS it has takes FX CPU-s from the first generation it should take the FX 6300 as well i think.Enough to let you install the latest BIOS.
F5 BIOS for the v1.x supports FX first gen.I doub t they are still selling old BIOS mobos ,like i have ,that came with F3.
Version 3.0 should take it just fine.
Most common may be version 1.2.

I have the same board and cpu.Yes,you need to flash bios to F7.Some people say you can install cpu,and then flash, but why take a chance of potential problems.Q-flash is easy to use.Flashed (2) 970's using version 1.2 ,with no issues.I love this cpu's for gaming and heavy tasks.I had this oc @ 4.5g with 1.4v,and it passed prime 95 for a few hours, but my temps increased 5-7c.Max load was 50-52C,which is more than acceptable oc ,but the temp increase is not worth pushing this another 100 MHz for the trade off in temps. At 4.4g this cpu is lighting fast, maintaining low temps.
