Title: Computer Won't Reboot - AMD Data Change...Updata New Data to DMI
Post by: Knowmadic on March 28, 2013, 11:00:43 pm
All was going good last night and then I got a message pop up that said ShockWave had crashed and I was alright with that so I simply restarted my computer. Upon restarting my computer I've been stuck at my screen saying "Verifying DMI Pool Data""AMD Data Change... Update New Data to DMI" and I've already tried reseting CMOS by taking out the battery, tried installing a fresh Windows 7 install to no avail. Sucked up the loss and reformatted my HDD and still got stuck at this screen. What should my next move be?

It gets stuck on that or it continues to boot in the OS ?

I would try with another set of RAM sticks first.

I encountered such thing with a Gigabyte 770-UD3 in the past and it was some RAM , if i remember correctly. But it was booting into the OS in spite of the message.
On the other hand some other AMD AM2 based boards have this all the time ,being an issue with the BIOS not muting the message.

What chipset does the board have?!
