Title: GA-X79-UD3 stuck in infinite restart loop
Post by: vrfood on April 08, 2013, 09:11:08 pm
I noticed, that quite a few people have trouble with these series of MOBOs. I have been using mine for a while now with a i7 3930K and i am very hap[y with it. However, today i decided to change the memory sticks. I did not revert bios to default before i changed them. I tried to boot, thinking i will just go ahead and change the settings in the bios. To my astonishment, the system started to boot and shut down in a sort of infinite loop cycle. I tried everything i could think of, including taking out the power cord, taking out the bios battery for 6 hours and restarting the CMOS with the on board jumpers. Nothing has changed. I tried putting in the old memory and only one stick and changing the slots. Same thing happens over and over again. System starts, fans start going, two seconds later- restart.
At this point i have no idea what to do, so i decided to ask around here. Any help will be much appreciated.

Cheers
