Title: My Brand New 7950 is making noises

What's the issue when I lay the computer on it's side it helps but it is really annoying and making me think the card will fail rather quick if its doing this new out of the box. $300 as well mind you.

also in the ccc when I set the fan speed to 20% they all turn off!

I think there's a problem with the fans... either it wasn't properly lubricated or it was hitting something. Just fan problems? no performance issues or temperature issues? I think you should call your dealer and ask for a replacement.

my does exactly same above 52% fan speed. I also cant overclock sht with that card, 1.25v cant up 50mhz+ on core, came stock at 1ghz, i read bios update fixex that but nevermind, my first and last gigabyte gpu for sure.

Just got mine, it does the same thing. Coil Whine. Update Bios didn't fix it. Spend 240 on a card, gigabyte wastes your time by having to RMA it. I'll be sending mine back.

After a lot of research this problem is widespread to a lot of these cards supplied by gigabyte. Are you hiring for quality control by chance?

So is gigabyte just going to ignore the problem? I think I'll just return the card and get a different brand on principle.
