Title: GA-F2A85X-D3H AMD A85X - using hdmi to vga for three monitors ??
Post by: lukestkd on April 19, 2013, 06:48:38 pm
Hi all,
Can you tell me if this motherboard will support three monitors if DVI, VGA and a HDMI to VGA converter is used for the HDMI port?

Many thanks!

Luke

If into the HDMI you insert a REAL digital-analog converter(and not some ebay cable trick) there should be no problems.
Keep in mind the DVI wont allow a simple converter to VGA also , it needs a DAC too.
If you are not using the 5600K or the 5800K or the future Richland APU-s you could get a cheaper board also.

Thanks Vezina!

I was planning on using this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Neewer-Black-Adapter-Converter-Laptop/dp/B007KEIRNG

will it suffice?

I have no idea :)
I personally bought a HDMI->Svideo converter some time ago and i simply went with the risk of getting a useless piece of hardware.:)
Looks like something ok ,but you will know for sure when you ll use it.
