Title: fastest processor with a ga-m56s-s3

Hi
what is the fastest amd quad core i can use with a ga-m56s-s3 mb???
Im thinking of a phenom II x4 945 or can i go any faster?????

im running an athelon 64 x2 5400+ at 2.94 ghz at the moment

Hi, looking at the CPU support list for this MoBo the Phenom II x 4 945 is the fatest CPU supported. If you go down this route make sure that your bios is up to date (F6C) and it should be OK.

i ve fitted a phenom II x4 945with no probs
now running at 3593.9mhz
