I Imagine 7 drivers should work ok/fine?

I had 2 SSDs die on me when I was using Win 8, OCZ suggested I use 7 because 8 isn't in the supported list. I imagine they were jus trying to cover their backs?

Have you tried with Intel and Realtek web site?
