Title: DDR3 frequency
Post by: white_dove on May 12, 2013, 01:20:11 pm
My motherboard is Gigabyte GA EX58 UD5 and the support for DDR3 memory is : 2100 /1333/ 1066/ 800 MHz
I have now 8 GB DDR3 - 1066 MHz and i want to upgrade it to 2100 MHz. Do you think it's worth the upgrade ?
Do i see differences on gaming and daily applications ?
One more question : if i buy DDR3 at 2133 MHz, will they work on my motherboard, or not ?
Thanks
LE : i don't want to open a new thread for a question.
How could i found out if my motherboard supports 1 HDD 2TB or 1 HDD 3TB ?

Before you get your new memory make sure you update the bios. I myself have 2133 and I didn't really see any improvement from 1600 to 2133

On the HHD's the only thing you might lose on it is if they are sata 3 drives this is a sata 2 MB. The drives should work.

If they are sata 3 drives you might have to get a sata 3 adapter card. If they are usb and usb3 again you might have to get adapter card.
