I just picked up my first Gigabye mobo with the 6000+ Athlon 64 processor and threw 1G of memory from Best Buy in there to test it.
The board posts fine, however It took an eternity to load vista from an external (asus) DVD USB drive and then it just hung up on me. I ran memtest86 with a 12.04 Ubuntu LiveCD and it found 3000 errors in 10 minutes.
I'm wondering if this board is any good?

Greetings,
I looked up the mb and did not find PNY memory listed on the qualified list.

I know Kingston, and I presume the other memory suppliers, has a finder which will list the memory modules available specifically for you mb.
Too, I believe that Vista requires at least 2 g's of memory to run reasonably well.

Replace RAM.
