Alright, so after a few long days trying to get this to work and research all kinds of sites I figured id post here and maybe get some help. I recently bought the G.Skill F3-17000CL9D-8GBXM (set of 4) for my PC. I plugged in 1 sticks, it works, I plugged in 2 sticks, it works. These are both in ports 1&2, when I try 3 and or 4, just recycles and wont even get to splash screen (Error C1). Ive tried everything ive seen on the net so far I believe, ive cleared Cmos, ive flashed new Bios, ive tried all the combos of the ram ports, ive tried to tweak the Bios to the best of my knowledge and still nadda...Anyway any feedback would be great since im about to lose it over here lol, thanks in advance

Unplug computer
Have tried One stic of ram in Memory Bank 3? No other RAM install in other memory bank
reboot, check it...
And after put Only one stic of ram in Memory Bsnk 4. No other RAM install in other memory bank
Reboot check it
Maybe check a timing, Use SPD.
Othewise use XMP profile.
Have you a web link of brand about RAM : 8176 MB DDR3 Single Channel?

Oterwise
Unplug computer
make a Clear CMOS
Reboot
and chosse in Bios Load Optimized Default
And make again test ram. One by one, in each Memory Bank.
Give us news.

Alright tried all 4 sticks in each slot and nothing....lol darn...so yeah im going to clear the Cmos now and load the Optimized settings and go from there. We will see what happends.

The only problem here is yes Gigabyte says you should be able to run 2133. But the thing is you CPU only supports 1066 & 1333 memory.
I tried it one time with my 1366 socket board and it didn't work. If you leave it at 1333 yes it will work maybe.
I have read a lot on this about how it will work with 2 sticks and not with 4 sticks. It all has to do with the memory controller.
Most memory controllers can run lower speed 4 sticks of memory with no problem & only 2 sticks with higher speed memory.
Plus that is on most of the boards out there no matter who makes them. So if you can return the 4 sticks and can two you might be OK.

I note this memory are specs:
Tested Speed 2133MHz
Tested Latency 9-11-10-28-2N
Tested Voltage 1.65V
SPD Speed 1600MHz
SPD Voltage 1.50v
Features Intel XMP (Extreme Memory Profile) Ready
In BIOS, check if a SPD have this parameters.
SPD Speed 1600MHz
SPD Voltage 1.50v
And check if a timing are 9-11-10-28 or less (not more higher)
See manual page 44
If fail try with 9-9-9-24
If with 9-9-9-24, the computer boot all right, try with this timing 10-10-10-27.
Otherwise if SPD Mode are fail, try with XMP mode, profile 1 or manuelly adjust it.
If fail, try with 1.65V for ram XMP. But the best, normaly is a 1.5v. But XMP profile choose 1.65v
Note, your ram are:
Multi-Channel Kit Dual Channel Kit
So they are not a Single Face memory. Sometimes is not a best situation.

Lol, well I think I might just have to get other ram...I took everything down, I followed all your ideas Gloup and still wont Post. I even dropped it down to 1333 and still nothing. Lol its been a nightmare but im willing to keep trying with more ideas

Hi again,
In principle to the BIOS, you must enable XMP for the ram to be recognized at its maximum.
The objective to make the change with the SPD is to determine if your computer would restart normally.
If the computer starts is correct, you can change the parameters to XMP with the BIOS.
I hope this makes it more clear the informations given in the other post.
So have you tried with XMP profile 1?
