After updating to BIOS F4 issues started with the Intel Ethernet Connection I217-V driver (Fresh WIN 7 64 install)
...
F4 Bios
PCI Simple Communications Controller (attention mark in device manager)
Intel Ethernet Connection I217-V driver fails (attention mark in device manager) + no network connection found
On re-installing the driver, the network will work, but PCI Simple Communications Controller still shows as a attention mark in device manager
The driver will fail on the next reboot (rinse and repeat)
Reverting back to F2 Solves the issue ( I backed up my F2 bios prior the upgrade or should i say downgrade :( )
I can upload the org F2 bios if anyone needs it? or i may report the issue on my blog www.Runawaybrainz.blogspot.com (http://www.Runawaybrainz.blogspot.com) and make it available since Gigabyte don't provide the old bios!
I have to say I am rather disappointed with Gigabyte at the moment after wasting a full day on this basic network stuff
This is my 10th Gigabyte product!
Thanks
Rupert

I re flashed the bios within the bios, and this cured the problem another reason not to flash bios within windows using a utility
Thanks
