Hi,
I have GA-EX38-DS4 MB with 4GB DDR2 8500 OCZ Reaper memory and everything had worked fine.
Recently I've bought another pair of the same memory and tried to add them to the system.
When I combine the memories, the system would not boot.
I've set the following configs:
Memory Frequency : [1066]
DRAM Timing Selectable (SPD): Manual
CAS : 5
DRAM RAS to CAS : 5
DRAM RAS Precharge : 5
Precharge delay (tRAS) : 18
DDR2 OverVoltage Control : [+0.30V]
(G)MCH OverVoltage Control :Normal
While only 4GB is set, I don't even have to set the voltage of the memory manually, but this won't do with the 8GB.
Please help :-)

Hi Jonson78,
Welcome to forum,
Have you tried put One stick of memory (the new stick of memory) in one slot.
Make a test with one stick, one by one. In each slot, one by one....
Maybe, memory slot have a problem or one stick have a problem....
Have you a web link of brand about your new memory?
You are sûre, both memory are identical?
Otherwise:
set the voltage of the memory in normal mode for make a test. (With new memory stick).

Hi,
Both of the pairs work great by themselves on all the slots.
Only when I try to make them work together, they don't. :_(
Thanks

Your title says 2.2volt OCZ memory, but your using 2.1volt at { + .3}
It starts at 1.8volt, adding {+.1} =1.9v
{+.2}=2.0v
{+.3}= 2.1v
It may run at 2.1volt /1066 MHz with 2x2=4g, but when you use all 4x2=8g you need 2.2volt or {+.4}
You could try raising the MCH volt by +.1, or +.2 so voltage is at 1.2 - 1.3 volt.
Those old P35 /X38 motherboards can't fine tune their bios like my P45 can.
You may have to run 4x2=8g at 800mhz 2.1volt ,if their is no {+.4}=2.2volt step in bios. :)
