My HD4850 life ended yesterday :(, plan to get new HD7870. i'm not sure if it match with C2D processor, no bottlenecking. any ideas ?

About your graphic card - HD7870 -
Just be careful not to take more powerful. Otherwise it will be less well managed by the processor.
Just be careful to the power supply. Check the number of cables PCI-E 6-pin and 8-pin you have on the PSU.
Because HD7870 graphic cards generally needs two cables PCI-E 6-pin. Sometimes one 6 pin and one 8-pin. Rarely 2 of 8 pins.
Otherwise, there are adapters for PCI-E cable.
