Hello all,
I have built a new system, first Gigabyte MB I have used. I have built many others without any issues. I have not tried anything yet as this is a new system and I am wondering if anyone else has expereinced this problem.
It will not wake up from sleep. The fans and lights are all on, but no hard drive activity. I can see the LED's flash momentarily on the keyboard, but nothing from the hard dirve, or LCD.
System info
Intel Core i7 920 Quad
Gigabyte X58A-UD3R MD rev 1.0 Bios Rev F1
6GB Corsair XMS CL8
PNY Nividia GTX 260
OCZ 600W StealthXstream PSU
Thermaltake Element T case

OK, BIOS update seemed to fix.

What bios version fixed this? I'm going through this nightmare right now. I have REV 2 of the same motherboard though.
The system wakes up whenever it wants to. 1 out of 3 times it will exhibit the behavior you have described. Upon wake up (by any source, wake on LAN, ON/OFF switch, etc...) both the LEDs on the MB & my case fan will go on for a few seconds, then OFF, then ON, then ON and stay ON without getting to POST. The monitor never turns on.
It's frustrating.

I would suggest trying the latest one. If that doesn't work you can always drop back to another.

Now that you mentioned it, this has gotten worse since I updated to FF trying to see if the USB3 issue would be fixed but it is not. http://forum.giga-byte.co.uk/index.php/topic,3866.msg36893.html#msg36893 (http://forum.giga-byte.co.uk/index.php/topic,3866.msg36893.html#msg36893)
I'm going to try going back to FE and see if at least this sleep/wakeup issue decreases. Any idea where I can find older BIOSs? I was only able to find old BETA bios in tweaktown.

If they are not on the Gigabyte website then TweakTown is the best place to find them. The only other place I would suggest is Station Drivers

Excellent. Found them at station drivers. Here's the link in case anyone else needs them:

Thanks!

No problem, you are welcome. Station Drivers is a very useful site. ;)
