Hi there
With nothing connected but 1 stick of RAM, internal vid card etc. I can't finish boot, I get "J" on the debug led, right one, no two digit/letters output.
Any ideas, thanks?

Have you checked the setitng of the bios and back up bios switches?
Read somewhere else that somebody had a boot problem and this was apparently related
to the wrong setitng of these switches.
Just and idea, I have the same mb and this boots correctly only had a code 15 after a bios update
but after a couple of restars the mb started correctly.
You could also consider to the a cmos, don't forget to disconnect your pc from the power source before
clearing the cmos.
rgds.

Hi and thank you for posting.
I checked the dip switches for the BIOS and they were correct.
I checked the problem again and I should add that I've not seen a problem like this before, what happens is that the board reboots all the time, never giving me the BIOS, just shows "J" at the start and when it starts the reboot cycle.
There's no error code for "J" in the manual and I can'f find anything online for it either.
I'm starting to think that I've got a short circuit somewhere even.

I have never seens the J code.
Before returning this board for rma, I would oncemore do a cmos only connect 1 ram stick try a different usb
port for your keyboard and try to boot hitting delete.
If you still cannot enter the bios environment than I would return this mb.

Hi,
Have you tried the following:
- Clear CMOS by pressing the "CMOS_SW: Clear CMOS Button" on the motherboard?
- Put the switches to "Single BIOS" and "Backup BIOS" then try booting and getting into BIOS.

Yes doing the clearing worked this time, strange, everything stable and rocking.
