Title: GA-F2A75M-D3H Cold boot raid controller issue
Post by: dmadd2000 on July 04, 2013, 11:11:05 am
Hi Guys,

I have just built a HTPC with the: GA-F2A75M-D3H motherboard
(SPECS)

AMD A10 5800K Black Edition 3.8GHz Socket FM2 4MB L2 Cache Retail Boxed Processor
Crucial 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600Mhz Ballistix Tactical Memory Kit CL8 (8-8-8-24) 1.5V
Gigabyte GA-F2A75M-D3H A75 Socket FM2 VGA DVI HDMI 7.1 Channel Audio mATX Motherboard
WD 7200RPM 1tb X2 Sata Raid 0 Array.
Corsair HX 750w PSU.

On first Boot, the raid controller does not detect my raid array. (Raid0 WD 2X 1tb Sata 7200rpm.).

If I then Ctrl-Alt-Del / soft restart, the raid array is detected and boots to my OS (Array is boot disk).

I have cleared CMOS, updated to latest Bios, no luck....

I am looking to RMA, however wondered whether anyone had an idea what could be causing this before I do so, as I fear the new board might have the same issue?

Thanks in advance.

Are they detected when in AHCI ?!

Whats with the "huge" power supply ?!
A "real" 400W PSU is more than enough to obtain maximum efficiency power consumption wise.
