Hi
I have a G1.Sniper 2 (F5 BIOS)mobo inside a Fractal Design Define R3 case. I use the Noctua NH-U12P SE CPU cooler with 1 fan in addition I use 1 front mounted Noctua 120 mm fan along with a the two standard fans that comes along with the fractal design case, 1 120 mm front fan and 1 120 mm rear fan. All fans are connected to the mobo.
Since I think the PC is a bit noisy, I am trying to adjust the fan speed by using the CPU SMART fan control option in the BIOS. When I choose the NORMAL mode, I have the following read out;
CPU FAN:1313 RPM
System 1: 1038 RPM
System 2: 0 RPM
System 3: 670 RPM
System 4: 1140 RPM
When I change from Normal to Silent, the values does not change and I have the same noise from the case. Am I doing anything wrong? Or does this fan control option not work?
Does anyone have better suggestions for getting the fan speed down instead of using the BIOS?

Hi bluelou, ;)
Mobo infos:
http://www.gigabyte.us/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3962#manual
I find your manual for Noctua:
http://www.noctua.at/pdf/manuals/noctua_nh_u12p_se2_manual_en.pdf
I add a picture...
Manual of mobo:
http://download.gigabyte.us/FileList/Manual/mb_manual_g1.sniper2_e.pdf
CPU_FAN/FAN1/FAN2/FAN3/FAN4 (Fan Headers) page 25
PC Health Status page 56
Verify and give us all parameters for section FAN (Speed an Fan Warning and Controls)
Have you use EasyTune 6 ? Page 72, 74
Is not a obligation, just answer to question ... yes or no...
I am not a user for this software...
Otherwise I prefer use a HWInfo64 for check a temp and RPM...

Is good .
