Title: WINDOW 7 INSTALL FAIL AND BSOD
Post by: lace00 on July 22, 2013, 04:19:26 pm
computer that i bought last year.
GA-Z68AP-D3 motherboard, 16gb ram DDR3 , nvidia GTX 560tI graphics card, Intel  i5-2500k 3.5 GHz. 1tb SATA HDD

It was working fine till I got boot msg (my fault). I then reinstalled windows 7 but since then I have been plagued by BSOD. It would get so bad that I would keep having to reinstall windows 7. Now I am currently running windows xp (64 bit pro) occasional BSOD after updates. Every time I try and install windows 7 ,on windows xp during the installation, I get either a BSOD,with a different message each time, or error windows 7 " error code 0x80070570 ". I have tried  check disk, formating the hard drive, uninstalling my graphic's card driver and chipset drivers but windows 7 will still not install. Only once recently I have managed to install it but It then started getting BSOD again.

What steps should I take in order to get a succesful windows 7 installation and avoid the BSOD?

Hi there,

you don't say which revision your motherboard is but have you tried reflashing or updating the BIOS?

Have you tried other memory or try one stick at a time. BSOD can be cause by almost anything. I would start with the memory first.

It can be the DVD-Rom, Video card, Hard drive. Most likely it is the memory.
