Hi, I have a new motherboard Gigabyte GA-X79-UD3, version 1.1
with cpu intel core i7 3820 3.5 GHz.
I have gpu gigabyte GEFORCE GTX650 GV-N65TOC-2GI 2GB
I have 32GB RAM CORSAIR DDR3 1600 MHz
My system has no OS installed, and unknown bios version.
I boot the system but I cannot enter to bios.
A startup screen appears with GIGABYTE Logo and function Keys
TAB post, DEL Bios setup/ Q-flaSH , f9 system information, f12 boot order, END,Q-flash
I press those keys in keyboard and nothing happens.
After some time, appears a black screen with a blinking cursor at top left.
I tried every thing but always the same happen. I cannot enter to bios, or I cannot
go to boot order and install win 8. How can I enter to Bios?

Here I am again. I changed the motherboard battery with a new one, I cleared cmos, But I still cannot enter to bios
I see only the initial screen with Gigabyte Logo and function keys.
I press del and nothing happens. After some time appears a black screen with blinking cursor.
I tried to switch sata ports for ODD HDD and SSD but the same happens.
I put a DVD WIN8 to ODD but nothing happens. Always a Black screen with blinking cursor.
I don't know what to do. How can I enter to bios
?

These boards boot really fast. I watch the little lights for the caps & # locks. Once they blink I start hit the del key. Plus try a older keyboard with PS/2

Sounds similar to the issue I had with GTX 770 not booting past splash screen and keys not working. Get hold of an older card and see if that lets you into bios, then change PCI from EFI ROM to Legacy ROM, install your GTX 650 and see how it goes.

I tried to count beeps during POST without pressing any key on keyboard.
It makes one 1st short beep when I turn on computer
After 26 sec it makes one short beep (2nd).
After other 26 sec it makes one short beep (3rd).
After other 26 sec it makes one short beep (4th)
and after this appears a black screen with blinking cursor top left.
These are in total 4 short beeps? or 1 short beep that repeats every 26 sec ?
The manual of X79-UD3 says that one short beep means everything is ok.
But what means a short beep after every 26 sec ?
Does that indicate a problem?

I had the exact same problem with a GA-X79-UD3 and an i7-3820.
Here's what worked for me:
I swapped my high end gfx card (evga nvidia gtx 760) with a lower end one (much older) and was able to boot.
Also, I disconnected an SSD because it would just freeze the BIOS. I had to use a normal HDD.
After booting, I installed Windows 7 from USB and downloaded @BIOS and flashed the newest version (F16). I had F11.
After having F16, the BIOS recognized my high end gfx card and SSD.
If you need help drop me am email at Ricardo dot Arturo dot Cabral at Gmail dot com.

Ok now the problem is fixed. I sent my pc to the service and they fixed it.
I guess it was the same solution that you described in your post.

For other members with those problems:
I flashed my bios with F16 and it seemed all fine.
However, till AFTER the boot screen logo, my keyboard didn't work.
Not usb and not ps2 !!!.
Luckily I had an OS on my pc, so I reflashed F16 with the newer @bios and now it works again !. Phew.......
